The New York-based renewable energy company will formally unveil a beta version of their new website next week at Solar Power International, 2015.
Rochester, N.Y. – Rochester-based Sunvestment Energy Group (SEG) announced today that it will unveil a beta version of its new website platform to correspond with the opening of Solar Power International (SPI) on September 14th in Anaheim, California.
Formed in 2014, SEG seeks to empower communities by bringing more of the benefits and savings of solar energy to businesses, community organizations, municipalities and nonprofit entities; while simultaneously facilitating opportunities for community investment into these projects.
The SEG model is based on an innovative, web-based platform that reduces costs by simplifying the process and bringing together the right blend of partners to fund, develop and invest in projects that strengthen communities. The platform will go live in September as part of the company’s broader industry launch during the SPI exhibition at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California September 14-17. SEG will exhibit in Hall A, booth #1039 as one of a select group of exhibitors in the invitation-only “Startup Alley” section.
SEG’s online platform consists of a powerful suite of tools and services that brings all stakeholders—customers, investors and contractors—together to conduct transactions, simplifying what has previously been a fragmented and opaque process. The platform launch in September will enable the following:
- Community organizations will be able to contact our team of solar advisers to plan their project, design their system, conduct a financial analysis, and generate a proposal to present to the decision makers;
- Investors will have dedicated dashboards where they can manage their investment portfolios and access the associated investment and tax documents; and
- Developers will have the ability to submit projects through a streamlined intake process. SEG will evaluate the submissions and provide financial proposals for delivery to their clients.
By driving the advancement of financial savings and environmental benefits of solar energy through efficient, scalable services that allow community investment participation, SEG will continue to serve community organizations, investors, and developers.
For community organizations, reduced energy costs make more capital available for the pursuit of their mission. For investors, the SEG approach provides access to attractive returns with a low risk profile, and creates opportunities to have a positive impact in their own, or other communities. For developers, SEG creates a process where projects that might have been challenging to finance can realistically get done.
Funding for the web platform development is supported by grants from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), as well as the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative.
